Become involved! Tsemppi’s Annual General Meeting

There are more than 250 student organizations under the Student Union of the University of Helsinki. These organizations are run by regular students. The work is unpaid, so why do so many do it? The reasons, among others, are that it’s fun, you get friends and new contacts, you acquire a lot of experience and it’s the kind of activity that looks good also on your CV. This is why we want you to join us!

Tsemppi will be discussing this year’s activities and forming its new board on Thursday, February 9th at 6pm and we are eager to get new active members. The place of the meeting is Tsemppi room, Mannerheimintie 5B, 4th floor, at the end of the corridor. All Tsemppi members are welcome to the meeting even just to participate in the discussion.

What Tsemppi does besides social events is representation of the international students and researchers at the university and within the student union. Tsemppi, founded by the international students themselves, is the only group doing this. We have, among other things, meetings with the university and one representative in the representative council of the student union. Especially now that there’s no secretary for international affairs anymore within the student union, your expertise is valued.

Obviously, to be active within Tsemppi, you don’t have to be a board member. You are invited to do exactly the kind of things that interest you!
